The Phototrain website - what it's all about....
Hi and welcome to the site where you can learn all about digital photography and how to take stunning photographs. From using your camera to using Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to enhance or correct your images you will find the information here on the site, if not now, very soon!
The site was created by Les Arnott in 2010. A keen amateur photographer he teaches and creates digital photography courses professionally for a training centre located in Staffordshire in the UK. He also is the Network Creator for the sister site www.phototrain.ning.com which is a social network for photographers offering the chance for both hobbyists and professionals to share thoughts, comments, advice and to take part in of lots of activities and competitions.

The tutorials and information you find on the website are to the very highest quality with a wealth of information and professionally created learning aids such as step by step video tutorials. There are sections where you can download free training programs and facilities.
Coming soon will be a shop section of the site. Here you will be able to purchase various training software including video and tutorial programmes on CD/DVDs containing Les Arnott's range of training software.
We hope the site grows along with its members into the best and most professional training for digital photography on the net and your support will help us achieve just that!
HOW CAN I JOIN?
First and foremost to become a member of this site and our social network site is totally free. You can only enter the main training areas of the site by logging in as a member.
First you are required to register as a member on our Phototrain Social Network and Camera Club site which can be found at the address below. This alone gives you lots of camera tips, video tutorials and knowledge from myself and other members. All members can:
- Create their own blogs
- Join in forums
- Upload up to 100 photos that can be up to 10MB individual size and create albums and slideshows
- Add comments to other members photos
- Add notes to the site. As an example to advertise any photography gear you may have for sale to other members
- Communicate with other members in a similar way that you would use 'Facebook' and even play free online games if that's your thing!
